Tech

This year now that I am a year seven I go to the Grey Mouth high school for Technology. At tech there are different groups and each group goes to a different subject. I am doing woodwork and in woodwork we are making kitchen tongs (I would have put a picture in here if I had one), I have just gotten back from a tech session and we have just finished making some tongs out of cardboard and are starting to make them from wood. In about two weeks time I will have some wooden tongs.

Numeracy Reflection Term 1 week 10

This week for numeracy I made step 2 on 2 digit by two digit multiplication on a google drawing. This step is times the ones and the ones. Have you ever done steps to multiplication. I will soon post the full slide  of all the steps.

Intro:

2 weeks ago on the 8th-10th March, Mamaku 2 met at the tech centre at 9.00 to get ready to go on camp. We went to West port for camp and our first stop was Mitchell’s Gully Gold Mine. We went with Mrs Prendergast and Mr B. I think that we went on camp to give students the camp experience.

P1 Where

1. M2 went to West port for camp and we stayed at the Gage university centre. So when we went to the pool it was only 3 blocks away.

P2 Why

1. So we could see what camping is like. Also if they haven't been to westport before.

P3 when

1. M2 was at the tech centre at 9.00 on the 8th of march ready to leave and we came back at 2.40 on the 10th of march

P4 who

1. Mamaku 2 Mrs Prendergast and Mr B went on mamaku 2’s camp.

P5 what

Our first stop was Mitchell’s gully. Then we went to Nile river for a swim and morning tea. Then we went to the Seal colony to see the seals one was so close to me. Then we went to the Gage university centre to relax.

After relaxing we walked to the Pool.

In the morning we went to the Museum to look at all the cool things. After that it was the Denniston coal mine. While we were at denniston we did the Denniston walk. Then we had some Lunch. Then we went back to the Gage centre to get our breath back after that exhausting day. Then we went to the Pool again after we were ready to leave we went back to the Gage centre

This is my word work for the week. I did this on a google doc. I have done all of page 2 on level 5. I hope you like my work for week 9 

Literacy, Term 1, Week 5, Reflections,

For writing this week I made notes about dogs. I am telling people how to take care of their dogs. I did this in a google doc. I hope you know about dogs now. I chose to write about dogs because i love animals especially dogs.

statistics, 2017, Week 2, Term 1,

This week for statistics I made a graph. It is about Mamaku's favourite fitness game. There were 6 choices Crazy tag, seaweed, athletics, touch, ripper rugby and other. 17 people said crazy tag, 9 said seaweed, 3 said athletics, 4 said touch, 6 said ripper rugby and 6 said other. 

Week 2, Term 1, 2017,

This week m1 and 2 have been reading a book called holes. In the book there is a kid called Stanley. He had the chose to go to camp green lake or jail and he chose camp green lake because he thought that it would look like the picture above. But he was wrong.
