Argentina Report

This week we had to write a report about an animal or a country and before you think I have already done this about dogs we had to do it last week and this week. This week my report was about Argentina.

Argentina

Argentina is a country in South America, it is quite large sitting at 2.78 million ㎢ and a population of 44.49 million. Argentina’s main sport is football, but along with football there are a whole lot of other things that Argentinians like to do.

Did you know that organised football in Argentina has been running since 1867! One of the best players in the world is Argentine, Lionel Messi. He has earned a total of 34 trophies, these include ten La Liga titles, four UEFA Champions League titles and five Ballon d’or awards. Messi has been playing for the same club his whole life, Barcelona. He started his career when he was thirteen back when he just started playing in the U14’s for Newell’s Old Boys in 1995 and he played for them for another five years.

One of the other things Argentines like to do is dancing, specifically the Tango. The Tango originated in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, in the 1880’s. The Tango is a dance that involves a lot of smooth and sharp movements and also long strides which means you need to be physically ready to be able to learn the Tango. The Tango came from the candombe ceremonies of the african slaves.

In Argentina there are also a lot of different foods to try. Some of these include: Empanadas, Dulce de leche and Chimichurri, these foods can probably be found in other places, it's just native to Argentina. According to Google, Asados are the most popular food in Argentina. Argentina's cuisine looks good to me!

Argentina is quite an interesting place with all of their different foods, I didn’t even know that the Tango originated in Argentina. I think that Argentina would be a great place for anyone to visit!
