Term 3 Reflection

This term we have done a lot of exciting things like:

  • Westamaths
  • Mini market
  • PrEP
  • Big market
  • A very stressful term of wearable arts
  • And even more in the classroom
It has been so eventful but, my favorite is westamaths because I was in a team with my friends Emil, Geordie and Will, I would like to congratulate the other yr 7 westamaths team that went to cantamaths (Jacob, Arielle, Honor and Addison).

Curves of pursuit

This week week in T4 for maths we have been doing maths art E.G. enlargements, tessellations and so on. We got to chose between enlargements, tessellations, pursuit curves or mandalas/rotational symmetry, I chose pursuit curves because it looked really cool and it looked challenging. Once I actually started and read other peoples DLO's on pursuit curves it was as easy as breathing. Anyway the reason I'm here is because I have made my own DLO on pursuit curves just down there.

Mini Market!

Recently in PrEP we have had our mini market and our group sold our bookmarks including, dyed ones, beaded and feathered ones and finally we had our pom pom bookmarks as modeled by Taylor in the picture. We made a respectable profit of 50 nuggets. I hope if you attended mini market that you made a good profit!

Japan Wall

You might be wondering what is a 'Japan Wall' well, in our class we have a wall and we put things about japan on it because we are learning Japanese and the rugby world cup is in Japan this year. Here is my contribution to the japan wall. Also go and check out my last post to see some persuasive writing that I made about wearable arts and it being compulsory!

Another Persuasive writing

Today after school I decided since I do not like wearable arts that I would write a persuasive essay on why wearable arts should not be compulsory. I hope that my piece of writing gets noticed by my principal and I hope that you enjoy as well. Also you can take a look at my last post about wearable arts so you get a good idea of what we are doing in wearable arts, please take a look at my writing!

Wearable Arts

This term my group and I have been working hard on our wearable arts costume. It has definitely been a stressful term but we are almost there, all we have to do now is complete our life size model. If you want to know about our journey through the tough and the easy (although there wasn't much of it) just hit this link. I appreciate your time, and thank you. here are some cool wearable arts costumes to send you off with.

Street map DLO

This week our teacher set us the task of following the rules of geometric terms to make a map of a little town or something. I really enjoyed this task because even though it is still work it was fun to create a small town. I have put together a description of my map. Take a look!
