Poem/Lyric | The day before
It’s Christmas eve,
I see presents on the floor,
Under the tree they sit,
There’s happiness galore.
We sit on the couches,
Waiting for Ben,
Because he’s working late
Now we finally hear the gate.
Now we play our game,
Mum chose something lame,
I chose something cool,
Dad stole it, cruel.
It doesn’t matter though,
As we sit around the table,
A smile grows on my face,
As mum connects the light cable.
The tree lights up,
The room along with it,
We are all happy,
This is our kiwi Christmas!
Did you like it? Let me know!
